The creation of these pages involves meticulous attention to detail, strategic planning, and collaboration with marketing, writers and photo studio to ensure a seamless online experience for Walmart customers. Through my active participation in this process, I strive to enhance the functionality and visual appeal of each category page, ultimately contributing to the overall success of Walmart's online platform.

ROLES
Art Direction

TOOLS
Figma, Powerpoint

COLLABORATORS
Creative Director, Photo Studio

Wireframe Concepting
As an Art Director, my primary responsibility involved concepting and designing category page wireframes, which would serve as the foundation for requesting imagery, transferring current assets, and ultimately constructing the final web page.

eComm Page Layout
A page kicks off with a Strawman
presented by the category marketing team. Subsequently, we proceed to procure photography as needed or repurpose existing imagery. The arrangement and design of the page are steered by customer usage insights collected from A/B testing data and product positioning analysis.

Shot Directive Creation
Managing a high volume of requests for new photography shot quarterly. Before the actual shoot takes place, the marketing team supplies the seasonal narratives and highlights the hero products. In my role as an Art Director, I take charge of articulating the creative vision and setting the scene by defining the talent needs or the overall lifestyle setting down to the smallest detail to increase efficiency on the shoot.
